Entertainment Work Permit

20 days later, it has arrived. Now that I have it in my hot little hand, I can apply for Mad's Coogan account and sign the agent contract. Finally the kid can earn her keep. (Okay, not really).

On a side note, Madi is starting to sign back to us. So exciting!

Holy EVOO Batman, 4 Weeks!

I just called the LA branch of the CA Division of Labor to ask about Madi's work permit. I was redirected to the Van Nuys office, because they're consolidating offices. So I called Van Nuys, and inquired about the permit and was told that it is taking up to 4 weeks nowadays because of the "merger" of the offices. Holy crepe suzette! But they told me that if a job comes up to call back, and they'll expedite the permit.

The Waiting Game

Still have not received the work permit back. Ugh. Apparently (according to Madi BOOM's agent), during the summer they are backed up. I guess all the cute kids are looking for summer work. Should've known. All we have left to do is the Coogan account and sign the contract. Good times. But we can't work without the permit, so it is just a waiting game.

Don't Call Us

No, no one has said that. I just finished registering Madi with LA Casting. I was looking at what's available, and there's an open call for the Church of Scientology. Will we meet Suri Cruise? I still need to work on the To Do list, but I'm waiting for the work permit. Argh.

The Adventure Begins

We're using the pictures that Julie from Blueberry Sky Photography took of Madi a month ago as her headshots! They are beautiful, and silly and memorable all at once!

Madi is getting ready to sign with L & L Talent. We'll see if she gets any work. We'll see if Mommy gets sick of driving her around. So far things accomplished are:
